Dr. Ng Sze How obtained Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from University of West Indies, Trinidad & Tobago in 1999. He then completed his Masters Degree in Surgery at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2009. From 2010-2011, he continued to pursue subspecialty training in Breast & Endocrine Surgery at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZII), Kota Bharu, Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) and Hospital Putrajaya (HPJ). He successfully obtained the Fellowship in Breast & Endocrine Surgery awarded by Ministry of Health, Malaysia in 2013 after he completed the one year attachment training in Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. During this period, Dr. Ng actively engaged in research and presented numerous international breast & endocrine meetings in Australia and Europe. Dr. Ng is also a member Breast Surgery International (BSI), Asian Association of Endocrine Surgery, Breast & Endocrine Surgery Association of Malaysia and Malaysian Medical Association. He continues to pursue his interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery and obtained his Diploma in Minimally Invasive Surgery from University of Strasbourg, France.
Following the completion of his housemanship in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, he started his career in Surgery at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA), Kuantan as a medical officer from 2000-2003. Following that, he provided service to the community of Western Pahang in Hospital Sultan Ahmad Shah (HosHAS), Temerloh as a general surgeon in 2009-2010. He was awarded as Excellent Performer in 2009 by HosHAS. Upon the completion of his subspecialty training, Dr. Ng was posted to Hospital Tuanku Jaafar (HTJS), Seremban in 2013 to set up the Breast & Endocrine (B&E) Surgical Unit in Negeri Sembilan after which he joined NSCMH Medical Centre (792-H), Seremban in January 2014 as the Resident General Surgeon and Breast & Endocrine Surgeon.
His special interests in general surgery include skin lumps and bumps, benign and malignant breast disease, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, hernia, gallbladder diseases, haemorrhoids included Stapled hemorrhoidectomy (PPH), anal fissure, fistula-in-ano and minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopy surgery.
He is also an expert in curative and palliative surgery for breast cancer, Grave’s disease, retrosternal goiter, Multinodular goiter (MNG), toxic MNG, Hashimato’s thyroiditis, Hyperparathyroidism, vascular access for chemotherapy like chemoport insertion and lastly endoscopy procedure eg: Oesophogastroscopy (OGDS) and colonoscopy.
