DR C Gandhi a/l K Chembalingam Pillay graduated from University of Saurashtra, India in Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1994. He obtained his post graduate degree MRCP from Ireland in 2003. Earlier, he also graduated from University of Malaya with Bachelor of Science (Hons). He further subspecialized in rheumatology and was trained in Singapore and obtained Fellowship in Rheumatology in 2009. He passed the International Osteoporosis Foundation-Malaysian Osteoporosis Society densitometry exam. He is also a qualified Certified Medical Impairment Assessor (CMIA), National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. He has a certificate in Good Clinical Practice.
During his work with the Ministry of Health he was awarded Excellence in Service (Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang) in 2002,2008, 2014. He was conferred Ahli Setia Negeri Sembilan (ANS) by the Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan in 2013.
He is actively involved in teaching. He is an honorary lecturer of International Medical University and Clinical Adjunct of Perdana University PU-RCSI School of Medicine. He has conducted various courses, lectures and presentations at state and national levels. He participated in clinical research both at national and international levels. He is trainer for subspecialty in Rheumatology. He is a member of the International Targeted Ultrasound Initiative (TUI) organization. He is a life member of the Malaysian Medical Society, Malaysian Osteoporosis Society and Negeri Sembilan Arthritis Association and a member of the Malaysian Society of Rheumatology and Academy of Medicine, Malaysia.
He is a gazetted Physician and Rheumatologist by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. He has credential and experience in doing procedures including Gastroscopy, Joint Ultrasound &Joint Injections, Echocardiography and Bone Mineral Density.
