Dr Lau Jinn Hwa graduated from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a Doctor of Medicine in the year 2007.

Dr Lau has over 10 years of experience in managing obstetric conditions and gynecological diseases, and was the Head of Department in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Hospital Bintulu during her tenure there.

Having served in Hospital Miri, Hospital Umum Sarawak, Hospital Bintulu and Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban, she has won the Outstanding Service Award from the State Health Department twice, both in the State of Sarawak and the State of Negeri Sembilan.

Dr Lau is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) United Kingdom, a Life Member of the Malaysian Medical Association, and has been a Member of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia.

Her experience and expertise enabled her to speak at conferences and workshops on topics including Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy, Life After Menopause, Cervical Cancer, Shoulder Dystocia and Updates in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Lau’s special interests include gynaecological surgery, hysteroscopy, colposcopy, diagnostic laparoscopy, pre-pregnancy clinic, antenatal follow-up, and foetal ultrasound scan, among other obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
