Dr Goh Wei Peng graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), India in 1997 with MBBS. He subsequently pursued his Master of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MOG) in National University of Malaysia (UKM) and gazetted as O&G specialist in 2004. He developed special interest in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, and completed his sub-speciality training in MFM in 2011. During his period of training in MFM- he spent 2 years in Melbourne, Australia, whereby he gained extensive experience in performing ultrasound for the antenatal mothers. In 2011, he obtained his fellowship from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Australia. (FRANZCOG)
He was the Head of Department of O&G in Hospital Port Dickson from 2013-2014. During his tenure as the HOD, he was in-charge of patient management as well as training the junior specialists, medical officer and paramedics in the department. He is the life member of Malaysia Medical Association and member of OGSM. He has presented in local and international conferences such as Asia Pacific Maternal and Fetal Medicine Conference.
He was awarded The Excellence in Service Award (Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang) twice while servicing the Ministry of Health, Malaysia.
Being trained in the field of MFM- Dr Goh has an extensive experience in pre-pregnancy counselling, antenatal screening for Down’s syndrome and prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis. He is also well trained to perform morphology scan, 3D & 4D scans of the fetus. He is also performing gynaecological surgeries such as diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and hysterectomies.
